The Pavilions is right in the centre of Port Douglas at 35 Macrossan Street, and it really is just five minutes walk to the beach or five minutes to the Marina Mirage. Despite the central location, the apartments are at the back of the property and are quiet and secluded.

Although we do have limited secure car parking in the basement, it is easy to manage without a car, as nearly everything in the way of restaurants and shopping is within that five-minute walking range. There is a Coles supermarket about 100 metres further along Macrossan Street, and they charge city prices, not inflated tourist prices!

We have a full tour desk at The Pavilions and can book any tours that you may be interested in taking, at absolutely no extra cost to you. All of the tour operators will pick up from the door so again, unless you plan to explore the region "under your own steam" there is really no need for a car. We can arrange transfers from and to Cairns International Airport at a cost of $30/person each way, if necessary.

The Pavilions is a small complex, with only 12 apartments, so a maximum of just 20 rooms. The rooms are very simply and tastefully furnished, so provide a very relaxed and restful holiday environment. There is an ice blue lap pool and spa, and an adjoining barbecue deck and entertainment area for guest use. We also have a gate at the entrance, which is locked outside office hours, providing additional peace of mind and access to only those people with room keys.

The one bedroom apartment has a king-sized bed (which can be split into two twins), spa bath and shower, and the kitchen has a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, double electric glass cook top, 1 1/2 stainless steel sink in a granite bench top, and all the paraphernalia to be able to cook and enjoy your own meals. Of course, with over 100 restaurants in town, you may not want to use your own kitchen too often, but it's great for breakfast and snacks and quick easy meals! There is a dining table and four or six chairs, large comfortable sofa/lounge, TV/Austar, DVD and private balcony that looks out through the trees or into its own private garden.

The studio has a queen sized bed, a spa bath and shower, sofa and coffee table, TV/Austar, DVD, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery, but no cooking facilities. The studio also has either a balcony overlooking the pool or a private walled garden courtyard.

Together, the one bedroom and the studio make up a two-bedroom apartment ideal for two couples as they each have private facilities and can share the common dining/lounge area. The apartments are self-catering, and serviced weekly or more often by arrangement.

Studio Apartment - 3 Nights

Rates are for max of 2 people. Studio apartment has queen bed, ensuite with spa bath, private balcony or private courtyard, tea and coffee making facilites, air conditioning, ceiling fans. Central location, quiet and secluded. Rooms serviced weekly.

Things To Do

Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and world heritage rainforests of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. 5 minute walk to Four Mile Beach, Marina Mirage. All tours arranged, fishing, ballooning, helicopter flights, jet skis, crocodile farm, Skyrail/train and Kuranda and breakfast/lunch with the birds. Dining out and shopping all within minutes.
