Maze Sydney Backpackers Hostel is the only place that's got everything you need to make sure your stay in Sydney is as happy as possible, and if we don't have it, just ask! We'll be more than happy to point you in the right direction. Whether it be help getting a job, making travel arrangements or advice on what to see and what to do - at the Maze Backpacker Hostel in Sydney, we've got all the answers!

Car Parking Details

* Get onto Pitt Street, which is one of the major roads in Sydney (runs parallel to George Street).

* We are located at the Central Station end of Pitt Street (between Goulburn & Campbell Streets).

* There is no direct parking at The Maze, but there's a few secure parking stations nearby. Try 36 Campbell Street - there's a carpark there open from 8am to Midnight. Cost is $5 per hour Mon - Fri. Max $20 per day. Weekends & Public Holidays $5 per hour with a Max of $15 per day.

* Discounted Parking - located off the laneway just a few shops down from our front door, opposite 7-11. Drive down this laneway, then take your first left. You will then see the carpark! Normally $25 per day, a stamped MAZE ticket will get you a reduced rate of $20 per day during the week, and $10 on weekends.

* Last option is the other carpark on Goulburn Street. Turn right onto Goulburn when driving up Pitt Street towards the city.

Travel Directions

From Sydney Central Train Station / Interstate Bus Terminal

* Exit onto corner of Eddy Avenue and Pitt Street, Sydney

* Turn right onto Pitt Street and walk towards the City

* We are 2 blocks down on the left hand side of the road

From Sydney Airport

Shuttle Bus

* Cost is $12 one way

* Our driver will come and pick you up and take you directly to our front door

* Simply call us on our Freecall Number on arrival and we'll sort out the rest. We'll be asking you what you're wearing, just so it's easier for our drivers to come & find you!

* After you have called us, this is where you will need to stand so the driver can find you

INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL Wait at The Meeting Point which is located on the ground floor of the Arrival section. It's a big blue wall with seats in front of it. "The Meeting Point" is displayed in large orange writing. It's situated right in front of a Currency Exchange booth & is closest to the Arrival North section. If you are at the Meeting Point near the McDonalds then you are in the WRONG PLACE.

DOMESTIC TERMINAL For domestic terminals, go to Baggage Claim Carousel # 5 after you have collected your luggage and wait there next to the carousel and make sure you are inside the terminal. Our drivers should be there within 15-20 minutes. Please be patient during peak-hour times.

Please note It's really important that you stay at the above place & not move or be tempted to go shopping or go out & smoke a cigarette - our driver's aren't mind-readers & won't be able to find you!

* Our shuttle bus operates between 4.55am - 9.00pm. If you arrive into Sydney outside these times, call our Reception staff.

Train

* Cost is $12.60 one way

* Take the green line to Central Station * We are then only a 5 minute walk from Central Station

Taxi

* A taxi ride will cost about $25 to the hostel and will take approx. 20 minutes depending on traffic

There's always fun times to be had at Maze Backpackers and we are always ready to party!! We keep you entertained so you can kick back and relax after your hectic day of sightseeing. Not sure what to do No worries! There's something always going on at The Maze and it's the perfect way to make lots of new friends. We are famous for our legendary free Wine and Cheese nights and cool club nights out, where we give you the chance to do some serious bar crawling around some of Sydney's best bars and clubs.

Not up for the full on party No worries! How about a guided walking to from Bondi to Coogee Beach It's the perfect exercise before a huge weekend and what's more, the tour is FREE! Want to give those brain cells a workout Then join us for Quiz Night in the TV Room every Wednesday (free wine also included). Not up for any exercise How about a free movie marathon on Sunday night with new release DVD's in our cosy TV room Or come & see Reception for free DVD rentals!
