Step through the door of Camelot and enter a fairytale, medieval experience of King Arthur complete with authentic helmets and swords. Swathes of creamy material and candlelight wrap the French Boudoir with intimacy and seductiveness. Pamper yourself in the spacious spa or relax on the generous sofa or the four poster bed in the Irish Colonial Cottage. Be transported to another time while pottering around amongst the memorabilia of the Alice's Cottages Welsh, English or Scottish.

Indulge yourselves, relax and discover the pleasures of unhurried love in a secluded hideaway. Launceston's finest restaurants and fabulous Cataract Gorge are a pleasant stroll away, or you may decide to prepare and enjoy dinner in the intimacy of your own fireside. Aphrodite

A sunny rococo style villa set in tranquil gardens is dedicated to the goddess of love. Let Aphrodite work her magic on you from the romantic bedroom with its gold lame draped bed and hand painted cherub ceiling, to the luxurious double spa. Emerge as Aphrodite herself, body nourished and soul awakened to the possibilities of love.

Boudoir Room

The gilded bed, a seductive cocoon of silk & satin reflected in the mirrored walls and washed with the warm glow of candlelight. A generous spa for two will turn a simple ritual into a sensual interlude. Rates are for 2, max 2 people.

Camelot Room

From the mystic legend we bring you Camelot, a medieval experience.After a battle weary day, retreat to the rejuvenating waters of Merlin's spa, with magic salts to pamper the body. Rates are for 2, max 2 people.

Irish Cottage

Irish Cottage, there are games to play and books to read in the comfort of the down cushioned sofa. You can learn how to trace your Irish ancestors or browse through the beautiful books of Ireland. Rates are for 2, max 2 people.

The Shambles

Open woodfires and electric heating warm the lovingly restored 4-roomed cottages built in 1840. With great attention to detail the themes of each cottage surprise the occupant at every turn. Browse through the collection of memorabilia and books or snuggle on the sofa with your complimentary port, chocolate truffles and shortbread. Next morning enjoy your hearty continental breakfast provided in the well-equipped kitchen and stroll to nearby restaurants for your evening meal. Rates for 2, max 4 people at $20 extra each

Children and Extra Guests Details

We have mostly double accommodation. There is one cottage that has a sofa bed, so it can accommodate 3 adults and we can accommodate a child on a fold out bed in the Shambles Cottage. Extra cost $25 per person.

Each cottage has its own off-street carparking bay.

Travel Directions

Travelling from the Launceston Airport or from the Spirit of Tasmania at Devonport the Bass Highway joins the Midlands Highway just outside of Launceston. Travel down a steep incline towards Launceston and turn left at the third set of traffic lights into Balfour Street . Go across one intersection at a small roundabout and we are the second house on the left. There is a driveway on the left of the cream-coloured building which you can drive into find reception.
